Frequently Asked Questions
How many students are in a session?
We advise one-on-one sessions with students to maximize the student’s potential. However, group sessions are occasionally available. Contact us for more information.

What platforms do you use to teach?
We use Zoom for lessons with my students because it allows us to share screen, video chat, and write/annotate in real time. We also use Google Drive to share resources and copies of the lesson notes with our students.
What equipment do you use to teach?
McKenzie uses a MacBook, iPad, Apple pencil, and noise cancelling speakers for lessons.
Senger STEM tutors are required to have a computer, and most also use iPads or tablets with real-time annotation capabilities to ensure clear, interactive instruction. All tutors are required to maintain an up-to-date Google Doc for each student, which contains helpful links and academic resources. Many tutors also use digital notebooks such as GoodNotes, allowing students to easily access session notes at any time.

How often do students meet with their tutors?
We typically recommend 1–2 sessions per week per subject, though the ideal frequency may vary depending on the student’s needs and goals.

What is the hourly rate?
Tutoring fees vary depending on subject area, education level, and tutor expertise. Please contact us directly for a personalized quote. Please contact us for a personalized quote!
Do you offer discounts?
While we do not offer general discounts at this time, we do provide special rates for schools and organizations we partner with. If your child attends a partner school, please reach out to confirm eligibility. Please note, if the cost is the only barrier to accessing one-on-one tutoring, we encourage you to reach out—we are happy to discuss possible solutions.

What is the cancellation policy?
Students must cancel with a written notice at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled lesson. If the student fails to notify the tutor in time, the student may be charged for the lesson (under the tutor's discretion) - except in the case of emergencies.
